The 2021 roster

Football Legends 2021 is the same two-player pitch with an updated line-up of caricatured internationals and the familiar 1 Player / 2 Players / Quick Match menu.

If you have played any of the Legends games the controls will already be in your hands; what changes between editions is the roster and the tuning, not the format.

What is different from Football Masters

• Legends is looser and faster — more bounce, more scrambles, more accidental goals.
• Masters is the more deliberate of the two, with shots that reward positioning.
• If two people are playing and one of them has never played before, pick Legends. If both know the engine, Masters makes for a better contest.

Getting good quickly

Learn one thing: when to jump. Every avoidable goal in this engine comes from being airborne at the wrong moment, and every good one comes from punishing an opponent who is.

Everything else is chasing the ball, which the game does not really reward.
